Puerto Vallarta Weather Is Ideal For Traveling
Puerto Vallarta is one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico, with huge bay that invites to walking though its vibrant waterfront, or aboard a ship to see large whales approaching enough to enjoy a unique experience. Puerto Vallarta weather is subtropical and humid all year round, making this resort city one of the most sought-after travel destinations in the world.
Puerto Vallarta is situated on Bahía de Banderas, in the Pacific Ocean within the state of Jalisco. It became well known because of press coverage in 1963 of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton’s affair while filming the movie, “The Night of the Iguana.” Tourists still come from around the world to relive this love story and the many anecdotes that locals still talk about.
The average weather in Puerto Vallarta offers day temperatures that range from 25ºC (77ºF) to 27ºC (80.6ºF,) but very rarely temperature sinks lower. Even though subtle temperature variations are associated with Bahia de Banderas and its geographical characteristics, they still influence weather changes throughout the different seasons of the year.
In the early months of the year Puerto Vallarta enjoys a day temperature of 25ºC (77ºF) and 20ºC (68ºF) by night, an ideal temperature to walk in the sandy beach despite it being “winter”. However from March to April, weather does not change dramatically but rises about two degrees on average. The hottest months in Puerto Vallarta take place from June to October, when the thermometer rises between 27ºC (80.6ºF) to 32ºC(89.6ºF), marking the start of the rainy season, when weather turns much hooter and humid.
However, there are many landmarks in the city, where visitors can get a break from the hot weather, such as visiting places such as Parish Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe or the City Hall for some shade. However rain contributes to regulate the weather preventing unexpected temperature rising. Nonetheless, from late September to November the temperature becomes moderate again and chances of rain are less in Puerto Vallarta.
